Riscone is on the slopes of the famous Plan de Corones, and offers visitors many wonderful experiences at any time of year. There is lots for both adults and children to enjoy: the lovely natural environment, the joys of reaching the top, fun on the ski slopes and in the après-ski clubs, culture, and exciting adventures ... This place has it all!
Our tips:
Winter
- Skiing at Plan de Corones: although not an expert opinion, this is still a useful tip - if you want to go skiing, choose Plan de Corones. It offers 32 modern ski lifts, 119 km of slopes, access to the Sellaronda ski route, 5 black slopes, a Messner Mountain Museum and the newly-opened “Lumen” museum of mountain photography.
N.B.: we are only 800 m from the ski lifts!
- Cross-country skiing: there’s a well-marked 5.4 km trail right here at Riscone – great for warming up! There are many other fantastic trails for you to enjoy in the Plan de Corones tourist area – and even more if you use a Dolomiti Nordic Skipass, which gives you access to Europe’s largest cross-country carousel and 1,300 km of trails ...
- Other winter sports: in addition to skiing, there are also opportunities near our hotel for sledding and ice skating, stock sport (a typical Bavarian sport, similar to curling on ice), and hikes through the beautiful winter landscape.
Summer
- Reiperting sports area at Riscone
- The Cron4 water park offers you a huge range of attractions at any time of year: 5 swimming pools, water slides up to 75 metres long, a 3000 m² sauna area, and much more besides.
- Golf: improve your game on the 9-hole and 18-hole courses at the Pustertal Golf Club, just 1 km from our hotel
- Hikes: circular hike to Kappler Stöckl chapel, hike to the “Kaiserwarte” column, to the top of Plan de Corones, to Castel Lamberto, and to the Angerburg Residence
- Kneipp path outside Riscone, close to Brunico
- Mountain Biking: Val Pusteria cycle path (Pusterbike cycleway), Herrensteig Freeride Trail, and much more
N.B.: We will give you a free Holidaypass card, which allows you free use of all public transport throughout South Tyrol! The nearest bus stop is close to our hotel. And what about your car? She can enjoy a holiday too!
